TRAINING FOR SAILORS

BASIC SAFETY TRAINING / THE COURSE FOR SELLING MARINE COMMERCIAL VEHICLES

THE PACKAGE INCLUDES:
• Basic Safety Training in Personal Survival Techniques (ITR).
• Basic Safety Training in Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting.
• Elementary First Aid.
• Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities.

THE COURSE LEGAL BACKGROUND:
• The Minister of Infrastructure and Development Directive dated 5 February 2014 on framework training for crew members.
• IMO model course.

DURATION:
• total: 67,5 hours
• lectures: 44 hours
• workshops: 23,5 hours
• number of days: 6 days

COURSE COST: xxxxx PLN
The price does not include 20 PLN fee stamp for issuing the certificate by the Maritime Office.

PRELIMINARY REQUIREMENTS: none

METHOD OF ASSESSMENT:
Lecture – ended with passing / failing test.
Workshops – ended with passing / failing skill confirming test.

CERTIFICATE VALIDITY:
Course Completion Certificates: Basic Safety Training in Personal Survival Techniques and Basic Safety Training in Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting certificates are valid for 5 years.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
• After completing all the courses described above, the participant obtains a certificate issued by the Maritime Office which is internationally recognized. The course certificate gives the legal ground for Seaman’s Book applying – as required on merchant vessels. This certificate may also be required by yacht owners, especially the bigger ones, and boat owners.
• ID should be held as well as all required certificates specified in the prerequisite terms.

PRELIMINARY REQUIREMENTS:
• A valid training certificate for Basic Safety Training in Personal Survival Techniques (ITR) or an valid training certificate for Basic Safety Training in Personal Survival Techniques (ITR) with validity ending not later than a year before commencing this course as well as 6 month sailing experience within 5 years prior to the course.
• Basic Safety Training in Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting certificate or the Basic Safety Training in Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting certificate with validity ending not later than a year before commencing this course as well as 6 month sailing experience within 5 years prior to the course.

METHOD OF ASSESSMENT:
Lecture – ended with passing / failing test.
Workshops – ended with passing / failing skill confirming test.

CERTIFICATE VALIDITY:
Training in Medical Care and Basic Safety Training in Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting certificates are valid for 5 years.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
• Training in Medical First Aid Basic Safety and Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities Training according to the current Directive of the Minister of Transport, Construction and Maritime Affairs dated 7 August 2013r. on crew training and qualification are valid for an indefinite period.
• ID should be held as well as all required certificates specified in the prerequisite terms.
• Prior to commencement of training, the copies of all required certificates specified in the prerequisite terms should be submitted to us.
• In order to confirm sailing experience the form entitled SEA SERVICE RECORD to be filled up [Form download HERE] and submitted along with recent CERTIFICATES (training and courses specified in the prerequisites.
